Martin, Steve 59 3/5/1951 1/6/2011 Steve was born in Piqua, Ohio He was in the upholstery furniture business Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Pam. A private service will be held in early spring. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville.

Kline III, Eugene Berry 59 03/15/1951 01/15/2011 Eugene was born in New York He was a sales representative for Herzog-Meier Auto Center Eugene is survived by his daughters, Sally Dillon and Elizabeth Kline. He was a one of a kind and a beloved father and will be missed so much.

Marc Turner our friend and classmate is gone at the young age of 59. Marc and I became friends in the

summer of 1966 and during that summer my 4’10” grandmother nick named him Little Marc the name

stuck, to this date everyone in my family refers to him as Little Marc. He always brought a laugh and

a smile to everyone he was around. One time Marc told me that it wasn’t the man who died with the

most toys that wins it’s the man with the most vacations, Marc was so far ahead of the field that he

had to go on the biggest journey of all. I have tried to channel my old traveling dog Snoop to look him

up and continue the journey, bon voyage Marc you will be missed.

My dear, funny, handsome, complicated little brother passed away last night in Tacoma, Washington. He'd battled kidney cancer for the last year, with grace and without complaint. It was peaceful. Okay, he did take a swing at one of the nurses, but everyone agreed it was a by-product of his condition and not of his personality. My brother had a gentle soul. He liked Foster's Lager. He enjoyed watching competitive eating. He called his mother every day. And as Marc Vincent Turner watched the sun set from his beloved boat -- sorry! yacht! sorry! -- he was often heard to remark that he was the luckiest guy in the world, that he'd done everything he ever wanted to do. Marc would have been 60 on July 2. He was a very well-loved young man.

Farewell to a wonderful Daniel Janzer, who died March 25, 2010. I played in the fields and classes of Riverdale Grade School for four years, watched him wisely eat only unbitter grasshoppers, rode the ski bus and slopes with him at Mt. Hood, camped with him in the Boy Scouts, went to Mr. Billings' dancing school and afterwards to The Chuck Wagon with him. He always smiled and felt how you felt. Mary-Lynn Kotz wished to express her thoughts about Gail Strecker.

I wanted to say a few things about Gail Strecker: She was one of my first friends when I started going to Waluga High, and a big part of my high school life; hanging out, driving around town in her Peugot, asking politically incorrect questions on the Ouija board. The Streckers raised Chinchilla’s in their basement in the 60's, and I was fascinated by that little bit of commerce. We stayed in touch for years, even though we lived far apart, and she did me the great favor of attending our daughters wedding, even though she didn’t really know her. Shortly after, her son called me and said that she had passed away unexpectedly in her car by natural causes. She left a son Jeff, and a daughter Becky, she was a sweet person, a great human being, and I know she is missed. Rest in peace, my friend. –Mary-Lynn

E.B. Gardner

Although E.B. was not a member of the class of 69, his energy and spirit was an inspiration to all who knew him.

E.B. Gardner was born Dec. 21, 1948, in Portland and moved to Lake Oswego as a child. He graduated from Lake Oswego High School and served in the Air National Guard before graduating from Portland State University. He later received a master's degree from University of Portland. He worked in advertising sales for the Vancouver Columbian, and in marketing for The Oregonian, the Boys & Girls Club and most recently the Northwest Osteopathic Medical Foundation. He married Sally Matlack in 1978. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Elizabeth, sons, Blair and Mathew; mother, Jeanne; and sisters, Suzanne and Jane.

Everyone that knew E.B. know how truly special he was. He NEVER spoke a harsh word about anyone. Always quick with a joke or a story. No one made me laugh harder or longer than E.B. It's a huge loss for the family and leaves a deep hole in the hearts of ALL of his friends. It is a privilege to be able to call him a true friend and I will miss him deeply! All of the good times his friends and I spent with him (some legal- others not so much! lol) will be part of my life until I finally bite the "big one". As we gather Saturday to laugh and cry together and remember how deeply he touched us, E.B will be cheering on his beloved White Sox and Ducks! Good-bye, buddy - I'll miss ya! Thanks for letting me vent, everyone. It helps.

It is with regret I report the passing of Guy Stanton, our classmates Debbie's brother and just the class behind us. He was friends to many. Charles Bruce " Guy" Stanton, 11/7/1951 to 2/7 2009 passed away in Palm Desert, Calif. Guy is survived by his son Reed Stanton, sisters Debbie & Libby, brother Edward and his mother Trelawney.
